One of the many things I was reminded of on my move from Los Gatos to Aptos. Record albums are heavy! And so are 75 boxes of books, 30 lamps, endless collections of vintage pottery, priceless vintage paintings numbering close to one hundred, and a 40 pound buddha. "He ain't heavy. He's my buddha."
I am getting better though. I ignored at least half a dozen estate and yard sales on my way to the farmers market this morning. Happily the farmers market is just down the road, and more affordable than the toney, overpriced market in Los Gatos (aka. Beverly Hills).
Marcel paid a visit to the adoptable kitties there...
Our Nella made the move just fine, after a few scares where we couldn't find her. She's good at hiding...
My Jesse came for a visit from just next door in Santa Cruz. But it's a big deal as we don't get to see him that often. See what I mean...
We had lunch in the garden. That's the clothesline in the back left corner of the yard. It's so nice back there. A quiet little room...
One of the main reasons we rented this place was so that Marcel could indulge in his gardening passion. He made a bouquet the other day...
I got a beautiful Mothers Day bouquet from Jesse with deep dark Sweet Williams in it. Note the stencil by Scott Waterman on the fridge. I will use it soon Scott, I promise...
Richie relaxing for a moment...
I have to say, I'm feeling more depleted than relaxed. Kind of like this...
I got the stereo hooked up today. A house ain't really a home without Otis...
Okay. Now I'm procrastinating. So much to put away and organize...
It's a happy move though. And my blogger buddies are welcome anytime!
